KAREN
MITCHELL DESIGN – TIMELESS, ELEGANT 22K JEWELRY

Karen MitchellÕs jewelry is hand
fabricated of 22k and 18k gold, accented with diamonds, beautiful colored
stones and pearls.
History, culture, ceremonial iconography,
form and metamorphosis inspire Ms. MitchellÕs collection of high-karat gold and
gemstone jewelry. Creating
language through shape, texture, pattern and color is important in the design
of each piece. Exploration of
nature and contrast, (combining crude and refined, discovering modernity
through antiquity), is a fundamental motivation for Ms. MitchellÕs work.
Ms. MitchellÕs jewelry is exhibited in
many of the finest galleries and jewelry stores throughout the country, and in
her atelier in Aspen. Her clients
include artists, art collectors, business entrepreneurs, diplomats, stylists,
celebrities and socialites from around the globe. Free-lance jewelry design & consulting services are also
available to the jewelry industry.
ÒExquisite 22k gold, diamond and colored
stone jewelry by Karen Mitchell was selected by the World Gold Council for its
prestigious collection entitled ÒThe Language of Gold: Elegant Expressions of
Design.Ó Ms. Mitchell was also
chosen as a finalist for the ÒAmerican Couture Jewelry AwardsÓ. Her work also appears in many
publications. Drawing on her
twenty-plus years of experience designing jewelry in Italy and the U.S., this
Aspen-based designer is particularly adept at using texture, pattern and color
to create jewels, which bring a rich harmony to the eye and a sense of
self-confidence and satisfaction to the wearer. It takes a cultured, experienced jewelry designer like Karen
Mitchell to utilize precious materials appropriately, seamlessly integrating
them into a fascinating, beautiful whole.Ó
